    Stabilisation and strength enhancement of road pavement layers made of inert materials  

    Solution

    Use of the “TECHPOLYMER” volumetric geogrid — a three-dimensional synthetic geogrid consisting of polymer strips bonded together in a staggered pattern by ultrasonic welding. The material limits shear deformation and reinforces the soil, creating a single structural mass capable of withstanding heavy loads. 

    A composite mat with geotextile coating on both sides — Hydromat 3D. — is used as a drainage layer. The use of Hydromat significantly reduces the moisture coefficient of road layers and eliminates frost heave.

    • Reduced consumption of granular material in the embankment base without reducing structural strength; 
    • Uniform load distribution on the embankment base;
