Geomembrane — is a polymer sheet intended for use as a barrier against filtration in the construction of hydraulic structures, waste landfills in various industries, road surfaces, underground structures, etc.
We produce HDPE (ПЭВП) and LLDPE (ЛПЭНП) geomembranes from virgin raw materials. The standard geomembrane is black. Subject to customer agreement, polymer sheets in other colours, such as blue or white, can be produced.
We produce smooth, textured and composite geomembranes with a drainage coating for unprepared bases.
Depending on the application, geomembranes are manufactured in the following types:
- Type 1 — a smooth sheet providing complete watertightness of the facility
- Type 2 — a multilayer geomembrane sheet with a special contrasting coating that allows visual detection of material damage
- Type 3 — a sheet with a textured surface and protective-drainage coating
- Type 4 — a sheet textured on one (type 4/1) or both (type 4/2) sides
- Type 5 — a smooth sheet with a protective-drainage coating on one (type 5/1) or both (type 5/2) sides
- Type 6 — an LLDPE polymer sheet (geomembrane) 2.0 mm thick with a protective-drainage coating made of nonwoven geotextile with a density of up to 800 g/m2 on both sides
The geomembrane is ideally suited for waterproofing because it has a zero absorption coefficient and 100% impermeability. The material is resistant to petroleum products, oils, acids, alkalis, abrasive materials, ultraviolet radiation, corrosion, rot and low temperatures.
The «ТЕХПОЛИМЕР» geomembrane is odourless. The material can be used in the construction of facilities associated with drinking water and food products.
We manufacture LLDPE geomembranes — from linear low-density polyethylene, and HDPE geomembranes — from high-quality virgin high-density polyethylene.
- Protective barriers for the construction of municipal and industrial waste landfills, facilities for storing petroleum products and drilling waste
- Waterproofing and chemical protection of tanks, collectors for industrial and domestic wastewater, and tanks for acidic and alkaline solutions
- In the mining industry, for gold and copper heap-leach facilities, sludge storage ponds and ash disposal sites
- Waterproofing of watercourses, open reservoirs and irrigation canals; construction of dams
- Waterproofing in road construction and the construction of port facilities
- Construction and reconstruction of concrete pavements, runways, taxiways and parking areas at aerodromes
- Waterproofing of underground passages, tunnels, escalators, and building and structure foundations
- Vertical cut-off walls
- Lining of drainage systems and concrete and metal tanks
- Construction of chemically resistant gas pipelines
- Isolation of sources of contamination involving mercury-containing waste
- Waterproofing of facilities for storing mineral fertilisers
- Radon protection for buildings and structures, and improvement of their seismic resistance
1. For any application. We produce geomembranes from low- and high-density polyethylene, smooth and textured, for steep slopes, unprepared substrates and seismically hazardous areas.
2. Service life — at least 50 years. The geomembrane is resistant to chemicals, corrosion, rotting and ultraviolet radiation. Chemical resistance — pH 0,5–14. The elongation at break of LLDPE geomembrane— from 800%, HDPE geomembrane - from 700 %.
3. Safety. The geomembrane does not release toxins, so it can be used to construct drinking-water reservoirs.
4. Frost resistance. The geomembrane operates in a temperature range from + 60 to -60 °C. It withstands repeated freezing and thawing.
5. From design to installation. We take responsibility for the full scope of work — from design through installation and commissioning.
Polymer sheets are laid out manually on the prepared base, without using construction machinery. Sandbags (soil bags) or other available means may be used during installation.
Geomembrane welding must be carried out in the absence of precipitation. The sheets are overlap-welded to create a continuous waterproofing layer of any area. Welding is performed using hot-air welding machines or a manual extruder.

Geomembrane from the Manufacturer
«TECHPOLYMER» — the largest geomembrane manufacturer in Russia. We have been operating since 1994 and supply materials to leading companies: Rosneft, Gazprom, Rosatom, Russian Railways and others. We undertake the full range of work — from design through installation and commissioning.
The price per m² of geomembrane depends on the type of raw material (HDPE or LLDPE), the type of geomembrane, its thickness and the supply volume. We ship products in any quantity throughout Russia and beyond.
