Geotubes

Filtration woven systems — large-sized containers made of woven geosynthetic fabric that retain slurry and silt inside while water passes through their walls.

Types of geotubes:

• «ТЕХПОЛИМЕР-fil» geotubes for removing silt deposits from water bodies
• «ТЕХПОЛИМЕР-wat» geotubes for dewatering various types of waste: sludges, sediments and silt
• «ТЕХПОЛИМЕР-sol» geotubes for hydraulic filling of soil structures and engineering protection of areas

The technological process using geotextile containers involves gravity dewatering of suspensions of various origins. The unique filtration characteristics and retention capacity of the containers make it possible to obtain up to 1800 m³ of dewatered material in a single container. 

The technology works as follows: fill the container with an aqueous suspension and wait until all water that can be separated from the solid particles passes through the geotextile pores. To ensure rapid and complete removal of moisture from fine-grained suspensions, they are treated with a conditioning agent — a flocculant.

After dewatering in the container, soils with various particle-size compositions form a dense material suitable for grading, loading, transportation and storage.

Geotubes are used for clearing water bodies and settling ponds of bottom sediments, treating industrial and domestic wastewater, reclaiming sludge lagoons and sludge storage facilities, disposing of dewatered solid fractions of various compositions, and constructing hydraulic structures (protecting marine and river shorelines from erosion, and constructing jetties, dams, and breakwaters).
