АкваБОКС is a system of modular elements in the form of cylindrical half-rings made from a polypropylene-based composite. The elements are assembled together to provide a sealed underground tank.
“AquaBOX” Reservoir

Modular underground tank «АкваБОКС» made of identical elements manufactured from mineral-filled polypropylene with reinforced structural joints, for the collection and accumulation of various liquids.

Tank diameter: 2320 mm.

The «АкваБОКС» structure is designed for installation below ground level, as a tank for collecting, accumulating and storing various liquids or wastewater. This keeps unnecessary elements off the site, improving comfort and safety at the facility. The soil provides additional protection against adverse factors. Maximum installation depth: up to 3 metres.

Advantages of the AquaBOX System
  • Cost-effective delivery: a Eurotruck can accommodate two 60 m3  tanks each
  • Easy installation (module weight - 125 kg) – no heavy-duty equipment required
  • Environmentally friendly, recycled plastic use
  • Repairability
  • Maximum burial depth of 3 m
  • Possibility of forming a tank of any volume in increments of 5 m3
  • Production speed – 400 m3 per day
Possible applications
  • Underground tanks
  • Sewage pumping station (SPS)
  • Local wastewater treatment facilities (LWWTF)
The use of tanks ensures
  • The possibility of discharging any wastewater
  • Wastewater storage in regions with quicksand
  • Organisation of irrigation fields with soil-based tertiary treatment
  • Water storage on the site

Sewage pumping station (SPS) STO 56910145-064-2024:

For gravity drainage of sewage in sewerage systems, a slope must be maintained when installing sewer pipes. In some areas, this is impossible due to the terrain or limited space.

A sewage pumping station is a complete, fully installation-ready pumping station that transfers stormwater and sewage in systems where gravity drainage cannot be implemented.

Local wastewater treatment facilities (LWTF) STO 56910145-063-2023:

Local wastewater treatment facilities [LWTF], also known as stormwater drainage systems, are systems for collecting, treating and storing liquid precipitation. LWTFs usually consist of three components: the wastewater collection system itself, using channels and filtering elements.

The second LWTF compartment usually contains filters for mechanical removal of coarse contaminants. The third compartment contains fine filters for removing fine suspended contaminants from wastewater. In addition to wastewater treatment systems, LWTFs also include tanks and cisterns for storage.

Assembly and installation

The modules are lowered onto the prepared base using a manipulator and assembled into rings. The rings are then tightened and connected to each other with bolted connections; sealing is ensured by a gasket or sealant.

After assembly, the tank is secured to the concrete base with tie-down straps, and backfilling begins.

Logistics Characteristics

Tank elements offer enhanced logistical characteristics (stackability) and can be transported to geographically hard-to-reach locations using standard road vehicles/shipping containers.

For example:

  • 20-foot container - 60 m3 of usable volume.
  • 40-foot container - 120 m3 of usable volume.
  • Eurotrailer - 175 m3 of usable volume.

Available alternatives—metal or fiberglass tanks—are transported assembled on oversized flatbed trailers, which significantly limits their possible use.

Buy underground modular tanks from the manufacturer

"TECHPOLYMER" — a leading manufacturer of geosynthetic materials in Russia. We have been operating since 1994 and supply materials to leading companies: "Rosneft", "Gazprom", "Rosatom", "Russian Railways" and others. We handle the full range of work — from design to installation and commissioning.

We will calculate the cost of polymer reservoirs for your needs. We ship products in any volume throughout Russia and beyond its borders.

  • The «АкваБОКС» elements are manufactured from safe mineral-filled polypropylene using injection moulding, which increases production speed dozens of times compared with fibreglass or rotomoulded tanks.

The unit has a reinforced design developed for user convenience. Its light weight eliminates the need for heavy machinery. Plastic models reduce installation labour requirements, the scope of work and the time required for completion. The tank remains suitable for use for decades. Plastic models are easy to maintain and clean.

Due to its design, the maximum achievable capacity of the «АкваБОКС» tank is unlimited.
