Armoset

The «Armoset» geogrid is a roll-form woven material manufactured from polyester yarns impregnated with a bituminous compound or PVC plastisol. The material is used in road construction to reinforce asphalt concrete and weak subgrades. Armoset extends the service life of structures, improves operational reliability, reduces operating costs, and enhances transport and operational performance.

Operating temperature range: from minus 60 °C to plus 60 °C.

• Construction of roads and railways, airfields, areas for various purposes, retaining walls and asphalt concrete pavements, including asphalt concrete pavements on cement concrete bases.
• Construction of temporary roads (pavements, bases and additional layers).
• Construction of temporary access roads.
• Reinforcement of soils in weak subgrades.
• Stabilisation of uphill areas and earth dams, rockfall protection and landslide control.
• Protection of the banks of seas, rivers and water reservoirs, and construction of seaports and river ports.
• Reinforcement of the bases of paths and areas when laying paving stones or paving slabs.

The «Armoset B» geogrid is made of polyester yarns impregnated with a bituminous compound. It is designed to reinforce asphalt concrete layers in the construction of roads and railways, airfields, warehouses, ports, heavy truck parking areas and other sites designed for high loads. Polyester geogrid is also used to reconstruct and strengthen existing sites.

«Armoset B» increases resistance to long-term dynamic loads, reduces or completely eliminates the risk of cracks and other defects, and protects asphalt concrete from damage caused by sudden temperature changes. Using road geogrid for reinforcement reduces the costs of site maintenance and repair.

The bituminous compound impregnating the polyester yarns provides optimal adhesion to asphalt concrete, increasing tensile resistance and extending the service life of the facility. We also produce «Armoset B/M» material—a geogrid thermally bonded to a thin nonwoven geotextile. This solution further improves adhesion to asphalt concrete.

Unlike the previous grade, this road geogrid is impregnated not with a bituminous compound, but with PVC plastisol. The material is used for the construction of roads and paved areas on unstable or waterlogged soil.

«Армосет П» increases the bearing capacity of the foundation, separates the structural layers of the pavement, and slows the formation of ruts, cracks, frost heave and potholes—the consequences of constructing a road on a weak foundation.

«Армосет П/М» is a geogrid thermally bonded to nonwoven geotextile. It not only reinforces the foundation, but also serves as a filter layer. The road geogrid simplifies and reduces the cost of earthworks and cuts the costs of repairing and maintaining the paved area.

The «Армосет Б/Б» geogrid is made of polyester yarns and a BND bitumen layer. The bitumen layer allows savings on preparatory work (binder spraying, use of special equipment)  and work to fix the geogrid to asphalt concrete.

The «Армосет Б/Б» increases adhesion between asphalt concrete layers after the geogrid has been installed. This is achieved because the geogrid absorbs stresses generated by traffic flow and redistributes them over a larger pavement area.

The geogrid distributes the binder evenly through its bitumen base and allows construction work to be carried out on sites with complex layouts and profiles.
