  • Project Description

At the site of major repairs on the Asha – Kropachevo road, there was a risk of erosion of the flooded slope at the river constriction. Bank protection was required to ensure durability and resistance to floods.

    Technical Solutions

The primary solution selected was concrete-filled mats «ТехПолимер». These are geotextile containers with a fixation system that form a strong protective monolith after being filled with an injection mixture.

    Technology operating principle

    1. Mat installation: The mats are placed on the slope, precisely following its contours.

    2. Filling with the mixture: Concrete grout is pumped into the mats under pressure.

    3. Structure formation: Excess water and air are discharged through the pores of the geotextile, ensuring dense and rapid concrete hardening.

    Project Benefits
    • Cost savings: Unit cost per m² is lower than that of gabion structures.

    • Speed: Minimal labour requirements and logistics.

    • Reliability: Resistance to erosion and flooding.

    • Aesthetics: Neat appearance that preserves the natural landscape.

Concrete-filled mat technology is a fast and cost-effective solution for protecting shorelines of any complexity.
