Construction of a temporary access road to the power transmission line construction site

Provision of temporary access for heavy-duty equipment and preparation of a worksite for the construction of new overhead power lines in challenging geological conditions on Type 1 and Type 2 marshes.  

"TechPolymer" mobile road surfaces – lightweight polymer plates for creating access roads and platforms in marshy terrain. 

The mobile road surfaces were installed using a truck crane or excavator. The plates were moved from the truck bed and placed on the ground surface using a crane. Each subsequent plate was laid end-to-end with the previous plate, aligned with the fastening holes.  

The plates were connected to each other using connecting pins. Installation was carried out using the «away from oneself» method over the previously laid plate surface. 

Machinery weighing more than 40 tonnes operated and was parked on the access road and platform.

MDP plates fit into a standard ISO container and can be easily moved using a conventional forklift. In hard-to-reach areas, the plates can be delivered by helicopter.
