SolutionExternal waterproofing of the landfill body by creating a sealed impermeable barrier over the waste. The barrier prevents atmospheric precipitation from entering the landfill body, thereby reducing leachate generation.
The landfill surface and slopes are reinforced with RD/M geogrid with a protective geotextile layer. Hydromat 3D serves as a drainage layer. Bentotech bentonite mat grade AC and textured Geomembrane Type 4/2 provide waterproofing. For erosion protection of the landfill surface and slopes, a material with a random structure, Geomat, is used. It is filled with soil and promotes the establishment of plant roots.
An earth-reinforced retaining wall is used at the landfill to strengthen the slopes and prevent erosion and landslide processes. The wall keeps the landfill within the designated area and prevents waste from spreading to adjacent territories.
