Repair of the Tomsk–Anikino–Yarskoye Road

Repair of the Tomsk – Anikino – Yarskoye road, km 24+420 – km 42+340.

Road category according to SP 34.13330.2012: IV, construction length of the section under repair: 17,920 km.

The existing road sections have the following parameters:

• roadbed width – 11,0-13,0 m;
• number of traffic lanes – 2;
• carriageway width – 7,0-8,0 m;

The road pavement was repaired and its width increased to 7.0 m (3.50 m—the width of one traffic lane) using a trench construction technology involving the removal of the existing shoulder. At the junction of the road pavement and shoulder, a 1.0 m-wide layer of Armoset B/B-50 geogrid was installed.

«Armoset B/B» geogrid is a composite material consisting of polyester yarns and a BND bitumen layer and can be used for a wide range of applications:

• Increasing adhesion between asphalt concrete layers, achieved by the geogrid absorbing stresses generated by traffic and redistributing them over a larger pavement area
• Uniform distribution of the binder due to the bitumen base. «Armoset B/B» eliminates the need for the technological process of spraying bitumen/emulsions before placing subsequent asphalt concrete layers
• Reduction of road pavement deformation (rutting)
• Extension of pavement service life and intervals between repairs
• Improved elastic-plastic properties of asphalt concrete under long-term and repeatedly applied loads.
