Repair of Hydraulic Water-Passage Structures

The hydraulic structure is a bucket-type pipe spillway consisting of an intake bucket, a water conveyance pipe made of two parallel pipe strings, a headwall with a stilling wall, and channel protection at the outlet.

For the major repair of a water conveyance hydraulic structure, the «ПайпАрм» technology was selected. It is applied using permanent formwork made of polymer anchor sheet V-LOCK ТУ 2246-003-56910145-2014 and an injectable high-strength non-shrink casting compound.

The «ПайпАрм» technology made it possible to repair the hydraulic structures without dismantling the structures of the water conveyance facilities and, as a result of the repair, arrested the deterioration of the joints between sections, reinforcement cage and protective concrete layer of the existing structures. In addition, this restoration method ensured complete watertightness of the structure’s internal surface, thereby increasing its corrosion resistance.
