Task
Reinforcement of the slopes of the M5 “Ural” road embankment section affected by erosion, manifested as sheet erosion of the slope soil caused by water runoff from the road.
SolutionThe structure of concrete-filled mats is a composite material consisting of two high-strength woven synthetic fabrics connected to each other. The fabrics are joined at connection points, maintaining the required mat thickness during filling with concrete mix.
Excess moisture and air are removed through the fabric pores, ensuring uniform filling of the mat with the mix, a high density of the injected mix and rapid strength gain.
As a result of the completed works, we obtained an engineering structure that reliably protects the road embankment slope from adverse erosion processes, is resistant to atmospheric factors, has a complete aesthetic appearance and is environmentally safe.
Technology Advantages- Relatively low weight and easy transportation to hard-to-reach areas
- Installation with minimal use of construction equipment and labour
- Use on steep slopes and the ability to follow the contours of the underlying surface
- Environmental safety and resistance to acids, alkalis, fuels and lubricants, organic solvents and microorganisms
- A finished, aesthetically pleasing appearance
