SD geogrid is a flat polymer material with rigid junctions, tensile strength from 20 to 50 kN/m and elongation at break of up to 20%.
The flat biaxial geogrid (oriented in the longitudinal and transverse directions) is manufactured from polyolefins with light-stabilising and frost-resistant additives using extrusion followed by biaxial orientation.
We supply SD-20/30/40/45/50 grades, which differ in tensile load and areal density. The SD/M grade is the same SD geogrid, thermally bonded to geotextile.
The material is used in road construction to reinforce and ensure the even settlement of fill. The extruded geogrid prevents rutting, cracking, potholes and frost heave, and reduces construction, maintenance and repair costs. It reinforces the bases of pavements and structures on weak soils. It evenly redistributes static and dynamic loads and significantly extends the service life of the structure.
