In Kolomna, as part of the national project «Environment», the company «Technoconcept» is carrying out remediation works at the Volovichi municipal solid waste landfill. The total remediation area exceeds 23 ha.
The design documentation for remediation of the MSW embankment provides for:
• construction of a reinforced soil wall to flatten the embankment slopes to the required standard values;
• installation of a protective cover over the landfill surface to prevent surface water and precipitation from entering the landfill body;
• installation of a seepage-control curtain made of geosynthetic sheet piles;
• construction of temporary access roads.
