On 20–21 March 2017, specialists from TechPolymer Group delivered presentations at the VIII International Forum “Ecology” in Moscow.
The event focused on environmental safety and protecting the environment from anthropogenic impact, and was held as part of the Year of Ecology in Russia. The forum’s main objective was to develop measures for the effective management of production and consumer waste and to support the development of the environmental protection industry.
During the working session “Modernisation of the Water and Utilities Sector in Russia”, our employees presented an innovative technology for the rehabilitation and engineering protection of reinforced concrete structures based on V-LOCK Anchor Sheet.
This technology addresses gas corrosion, abrasive wear, infiltration and liquid leakage, as well as external mechanical damage to concrete structures. The anchor sheet provides complete waterproofing and offers high chemical resistance, frost resistance and durability.
Structures lined with anchor sheet combine the advantages of reinforced concrete—high strength and rigidity—with the properties of HDPE polyethylene—resistance to aggressive environments and high elongation at break.
A presentation by TechPolymer Group specialists was included in the panel session “Prospects for the Development of the Waste Management Industry in Russia”. It addressed modern technologies for the reclamation of municipal solid waste and industrial waste landfills. The presentation included a brief analysis of errors in landfill design and construction and considered an effective solution based on a geosynthetic materials system.
