Bentonite mats «Bentotech» are an effective solution for waterproofing, with bentonite granules securely fixed in a polypropylene framework using a needle-punching process. The key advantage is their "self-healing" ability: when damaged and exposed to moisture, the bentonite clay expands, restoring the watertightness of the structure.
«Bentotech» effectively replaces a one-metre layer of a clay liner. The mats are used to create containment barriers at waste disposal sites and tailings storage facilities, and for waterproofing foundations, tunnels and pipelines.
