Construction of the bridge forming part of the M-12 “Vostok” motorway is nearing completion. The road workers have already laid the asphalt; landscaping and greening remain.
A composite material for greening was installed on the slopes - a three-layer biomat with anti-erosion properties for covering embankment slopes. It consists of two layers of nonwoven natural fabric and an inner layer containing grass seeds. Biomat СТО 30478650-007-2014 will restore and stabilise the slopes while enabling greening. Some areas are already covered with grass.
The workers are also applying road markings, installing lighting and completing other finishing works.
Traffic on the bridge, which is 3362 m long and 25 m wide, will open by the end of this year.
