On 14 October 2014, a conference entitled "Geosynthetic Materials: Design, Construction and Operation at Oil and Gas Facilities" was held in the conference hall of OAO "Gazprom".
The conference was not only a forum for discussion, but also had a scientific and practical focus. Experts, oil and gas industry practitioners, researchers and government representatives were invited to participate.
The first presentations on the experience of using and the effectiveness of various types of structures made from geosynthetic materials were delivered by OAO "Gazprom" executives: S.V. Alimov, First Deputy Head of the Department for Gas Transportation, Underground Storage and Utilisation; and V.Z. Mnilikaev, Head of the Gas and Gas Condensate (Oil) Production Division of OAO "Gazprom".
A.N. Adyakimov, Head of the Transport Infrastructure Division at the TechPolymer Group, delivered a presentation entitled "The Use of Integrated Geotechnical Solutions for the Engineering Protection of Pipelines and the Construction of Roads and Sites in Complex Engineering and Geological Conditions".
