The future of household waste collection and recycling was clearly demonstrated at the WasteTech exhibition, dedicated to the latest waste disposal technologies. The exhibition took place from 4 to 6 June 2019 in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.
How can waste collection be transformed into a high-tech industry? What innovative ideas are engineers proposing to minimise environmental damage and protect the environment? And what should be done with solid municipal waste landfills? These are just some of the issues addressed at the forum venues during the exhibition.
“There has never been such broad involvement from government, society and business. Look at the number of exhibits—these are new technologies, and business is involved as well. There is demand for this, which means that tomorrow these new machines, waste collection vehicles and lines will already be installed at facilities currently being built on a large scale as part of the national Ecology project,” said Ruslan Gubaydullin, Executive Director of the Clean Country Association.
