Moscow Region is the undisputed leader of the federal «Clean Country» project. The region has already remediated 13 landfills, with work currently underway at 11 more. By the end of 2024, the elimination of accumulated environmental damage is planned to be completed at a total of 27 sites. Pavel Bida, First Deputy Minister of Ecology and Environmental Management of the Moscow Region, discusses the specifics of remediation and the progress of work at landfills in the region.
