On 3 October, as part of the “We Do Not Abandon Our Own” humanitarian programme, TechPolymer transferred 1,008 euro-containers for municipal solid waste to the city of Donetsk.
For the people of Donetsk, the issue of overflowing waste containers is extremely urgent, as there is a severe shortage of containers for waste collection. The issue of waste removal is particularly acute in areas bordering the special military operation zone, where shelling periodically occurs.
Having learned about the shortage of waste containers, TechPolymer provided assistance to the residents of Donetsk through its dedicated waste collection container manufacturing division TechPolymerEco. New environmentally friendly 1,100-litre containers were produced. The public organisation “People’s Front” helped deliver the humanitarian cargo to the capital of the DPR.
As reported by Alexey Kulemzin, Head of the Donetsk City Administration: “We plan to send the new containers to the areas most frequently subjected to shelling—the Kirovsky and Kuibyshevsky districts.”
A. Kulemzin also expressed his gratitude for the implementation of the humanitarian project and the delivery of the cargo to the housing and utilities sector of the DPR. The TechPolymer representative noted that, under the “We Do Not Abandon Our Own” charitable programme, this is only the first shipment to the DPR. The implementation of this programme should significantly facilitate the Donetsk People’s Republic’s work in removing municipal solid waste.
