25 February 2015, a round table entitled «Application of Geocomposite Materials in the Road Construction Industry. Technical Solutions and Modern Experience. Import Substitution» was held in Irkutsk and organised by the TechPolymer Group.
The round table was held in the conference hall of Irkutskgiprodornii OJSC, with the participation of customers and leading design and construction organisations, with the aim of introducing modern composite materials in the construction, operation and reconstruction of roads.
The following issues were addressed during the round table:
- Innovative developments in the geosynthetics market;
- Import substitution;
- Technical solutions for pavement layers and subgrade foundations on weak soils;
- Experience of application at regional and federal road facilities in 2013–2014;
- Application effectiveness based on tests conducted by DIC SIBADI;
- Design of retaining walls for overall and local stability;
- Bank protection and engineering protection;
- Lining and concrete protection.
