The Kremlin Christmas tree is already decorating Cathedral Square in the Kremlin. The main tree was selected over the course of a year based on numerous criteria: a correct pyramidal shape, a straight trunk, the required height, fullness and age. The greenest, most stately and bushiest tree was chosen!
Preparations for felling began almost six months in advance. First, the site had to be reinforced to allow heavy equipment to reach the tree. For this purpose, «ТехПолимер» mobile road surfaces have been used for the second consecutive year—lightweight, impact-resistant polymer plates designed for constructing temporary access roads and platforms.
Mobile road plates are laid on an unprepared base and are easy to install without special equipment or tools. In addition, the plates can be reused. These advantages ensure that wherever the country's main Christmas tree is found for the next New Year, access roads to it will be provided.
