The installation of modular tanks is nearing completion at the construction site in the Lagolovskoye rural settlement (Lomonosovsky District, Leningrad Region). Final works are underway to install a prefabricated polymer tank for a surface wastewater treatment facility.
Over the past few weeks, the team has completed the key stages:
-
A compacted base was prepared from a sand cushion reinforced with road geogrid RD.
-
A Type 5/2 geomembrane , protected on both sides by geotextile fabric, was installed, with the seams checked to ensure the future tank's watertightness.
-
The frame of the tank, with a capacity of 1,359 m3 was assembled from modular elements.
-
Double-layer polymer pipes «ТехноКобра» with a structured wall and high ring stiffness were installed for the tank filling system.
- Inspection emergency tees were installed, inspection wells were placed above them, and the trenches were backfilled with crushed stone.
-
The completed tank sections were closed with side panels and covers.
The modular tank installed at the site is a prefabricated system of high-strength elements. This solution makes it possible to:
-
Quickly assemble tanks of the required volume (on average, 1 m3 per minute).
-
Minimise earthworks — a heavy-duty base is not required.
-
Significantly reduce transport costs (only one Euro truck is required to transport all the elements needed to construct a 300 m3 tank).
Once all commissioning works for the wastewater treatment facility are completed, the tanks will begin operating as part of the wastewater treatment system.
