In the construction of containment dams and embankments on waterlogged foundation soils, improving the bearing capacity of the foundation and reducing soil consolidation time are key objectives.
The main element of the technology is a vertical strip geodrain STO 56910145-046-2021, consisting of a flexible polymer core enclosed in a nonwoven geotextile sheath that protects the core from penetrating soil particles. The geodrain works by reducing excess pore pressure during embankment placement.
