On 20 and 21 November 2014, the 7th International Conference “Adoption of Innovative Technologies and Materials in Road Construction” was held in St Petersburg.
The conference was organised by NP ASDOR, with the support of the Avtodor State Company and the Committee for the Development of Transport Infrastructure of St Petersburg.
The conference objectives were to develop promising cooperation between road-sector companies from the countries participating in the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space; support the implementation of a programme for developing interstate standards to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Customs Union technical regulation “Road Safety” (which enters into force on 15 February 2015); and promote the implementation and large-scale adoption of advanced technologies, materials, structures, machinery and equipment in the design, construction, reconstruction, major repair and maintenance of roads and artificial structures.
The conference was attended by leading Russian designers, heads of federal and regional road administrations, heads of contracting organisations, manufacturers and suppliers of materials, as well as international specialists.
