Ash disposal site No. 3 of the Aksu Power Plant is a unique hydraulic engineering structure constructed using the most advanced geosynthetic materials. The impermeable screen made of «TechPolymer» geomembrane provides complete waterproofing of the ash disposal site basin, eliminating the possibility of toxic substances entering groundwater. The geomembrane has high strength and excellent resistance to temperature effects and ultraviolet radiation, making it possible to create an artificial reservoir of virtually any area, volume and configuration.
The following materials from the «TechPolymer» Group were used in the construction of the ash disposal site:
- TYPE 1 geomembrane, thickness 1 mm, HDPE
- TYPE 4/1 geomembrane, thickness 1.5 mm, HDPE
- Geogrid 100 400*400
