Construction works aimed at eliminating accumulated environmental damage are progressing at a rapid pace. 21 units of equipment are involved. The works are significantly ahead of the schedule stipulated by the Municipal Contract.
To date, most of the works to reform the landfill body have been completed. Works are underway to transport, level and compact the soil and install a levelling layer using RD-100 Geogrid manufactured by «TechPolymer», which will ensure uniform load distribution and prevent soil settlement. Geomembrane Type 4/2 is being laid and welded. This is a 2 mm thick material consisting of a sheet with a structured surface on both sides, providing reliable adhesion to the foundation soils. A drainage layer made of Hydromat 3D is being installed to filter and drain wastewater.
The final stage will involve laying fertile soil for planting perennial plants.
