Construction of the M-12 Dyurtyuli–Achiт section is 50% complete in terms of geotextile installation. Key construction stages are nearing completion on the Bashkir section of the M-12 Dyurtyuli–Achit highway. The main works for constructing the roadbed and preparing the foundation of the motorway have been completed. Geotextile installation is 50% complete. The site is being reinforced with high-strength geotextile at a single level.
The use of woven geotextile with high long-term strength will reduce deformation of the embankment body in areas prone to karst collapses and decrease settlement both in the embankment foundation and in the pavement layers.
The long-term strength of woven geotextile determines its ability to withstand significant loads, including loads from heavy freight vehicles, thereby eliminating the risk of premature failure.
"The section in Bashkortostan is 62% complete," said Vyacheslav Petushenko, Chairman of the Management Board of the State Company Avtodor.
The road facility is scheduled to open as early as November 2024.
