Sibur Holding has begun construction of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex (GCC) in the city of Svobodny, Amur Region. With an annual production capacity of 2.3 million tonnes of polyethylene and 0.4 million tonnes of polypropylene, the facility will become the largest in Russia and one of the world's largest producers of base polymers.
Work is currently under way at the Amur GCC site to equip and waterproof reservoirs with a total area of 54250 m2, using Techpolymer geomembrane, TU 2246-001-56910145-2014, GOST R 56586-2015, type 5/1-M250, with a thickness of 2 mm.
