On 4 April in Sochi, Konstantin Vladimirovich Gorkov, Head of the TechPolymer Engineering Centre, addressed the participants of a scientific and technical conference.
The conference «Hydraulic Structures: Modern Design, Construction and Operation Technologies» brought together more than 120 specialists. The participants heard a presentation by K. V. Gorkov on the topic: «Experience in Applying the "PipeArm" Technology to a Water-Conveyance Hydraulic Structure», which generated strong interest among the audience.
The presentation focused on the technology for repairing and restoring reinforced-concrete water-conveyance pipes using permanent formwork made of a polymer protective sleeve incorporating V-LOCK anchor sheet and an injectable high-strength compound. He also explained that lining with polymer anchor sheet would be effective for protecting reinforced concrete:
- when repairing or carrying out major repairs on existing industrial wastewater treatment facilities (municipal sewerage and industrial water treatment facilities);
- when constructing new facilities using concrete tanks and their elements lined with anchor sheet, manufactured according to individual drawings.
After the presentation, the specialists engaged in a lively discussion, during which Konstantin Vladimirovich answered questions on protecting reinforced-concrete structures using anchor sheet.
