Work has started on the remediation of the solid municipal waste landfill in the city of Sudak, Republic of Crimea. The landfill covers an area of 11 ha. The work is being carried out as part of the regional project «Clean Country» under the national project «Ecology» and is scheduled to continue through 2024.
The landfill body is currently being formed, preparations are under way for the installation of the «BlokTek» filtration system, and connection to the electricity networks has been completed.
Under the federal project «Clean Country», a total of 266 dumps and waste landfills are planned for remediation by 2024, including the «Krasny Bor» hazardous waste landfill, Chelyabinsk municipal landfill, and the site of the Baikal Pulp and Paper Mill.
