The landfill in Malaya Dubna operated from 1958. Its area is 14.75 hectares. In December 2020, the landfill was closed for remediation.
Preparatory work for remediation is currently underway, including the installation of wastewater and leachate treatment systems, which will prevent the liquid phase of waste from the landfill from entering groundwater.
Lining of reinforced concrete storage tanks with an anchor sheet from Techpolymer Group protects the concrete from moisture and aggressive media, provides waterproofing, and the anchoring systems redistribute the load on the structure, preventing cracks from forming.
More information about the remediation of the Malodubensky landfill is available in the report by the «Aist» TV channel.
