In Kaliningrad, work continues on the reconstruction of the drawbridge over the Pregol River on the Kaliningrad – Sovetsk section. As part of preparing the transport approaches to the new bridge, builders are using a unique vertical drainage technology designed to stabilise the road base leading to the drawbridge.

Specialists are currently installing vertical geodrains (СТО 56910145-046-2021) manufactured by TechPolymer in the base of the future road pavement. This technology will accelerate the consolidation of the soil forming the foundation for the road embankment.
The geodrains are installed using a specialised set of equipment consisting of Stitcher attachment equipment mounted on an excavator.
