On 21 June 2023, Acting Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory M. M. Kotyukov paid a working visit to the TECHPOLYMER plant in Divnogorsk. The purpose of the visit was to learn about the operations of the TECHPOLYMER production site in Divnogorsk.

During the visit, Mikhail Kotyukov spoke with plant representatives. They discussed TECHPOLYMER’s unique developments for the Russian Federation. These included the V-LOCK polymer anchor sheet — a technology for protecting reinforced concrete structures and extending the service life of concrete; BlokTech prefabricated tanks — a solution for wastewater storage and infiltration; Mobile Road Surfaces (MRS) — polymer plates for constructing temporary access roads to sites with challenging geological conditions; and other technologies.

The Acting Governor also visited the heart of the enterprise: he saw the plant’s production lines and learned about the process of creating geosynthetic materials that minimise the harmful impact of human activity and industrial enterprises on the environment.

Geosynthetics produced at the Divnogorsk plant support the implementation of the Russian Federation’s priority projects, “Clean Country” and “Rehabilitation of the Volga”, under the “Ecology” national project. These projects involve eliminating accumulated environmental damage from landfill sites, unauthorised dumps, sludge treatment facilities and other sites hazardous to nature and people.

The Acting Governor saw first-hand that the home region is developing some of the Russian Federation’s largest companies focused on addressing environmental challenges and producing world-class products. With such expertise and production capacity, it became clear that import substitution objectives can be achieved both in Russia and in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in particular.
